1983-84 Calgary Flames #23 Paul Reinhart - BATTLE OF ALBERTA PHOTO MATCH
Game Worn Road Jersey - Photo Matched To Stanley Cup Playoffs
This CCM Mesh/Knit combo jersey was worn by Defenseman Paul Reinhart during the 1983-84 NHL season and Stanley Cup Playoffs. The jersey has been photo matched to a “Battle of Alberta” Stanley Cup Playoff game between the Flames and Edmonton Oilers. The image comes from the book “Countdown to the Stanley Cup - An Illustrated History of the Calgary Flames”. This was a classic Battle of Alberta playoff match that went the full 7 games with Edmonton being victorious and going on to their first Stanley Cup. Paul Reinhart was the leading scorer for the Flames in the 1984 playoffs recording 6 goals and 11 assists for 17 points in 11 games. He actually finished 7th in overall scoring for the 1984 Stanley Cup playoffs despite only playing in two series. This jersey is hammered with stick marks, team repairs and board burns. It has the Calgary 100th Anniversary 1884-1984 Patch on the left shoulder. This all original jersey has the original name bar and the fight strap. Calgary Flames jerseys from this period are very striking with the bright red mesh body combined with the heavy knit elbows and lower hem.
