1960’S North Battleford, Saskatchewan
BRUIN MIDGETS CARDIGAN SWEATER
North Battleford hockey has a rich history including the Beaver Bruins Midget and Jr. B teams of the 1950’s and 60’s. With a strong connection to the Estevan Bruins of the WCJHL there were many players that came out of the North Battleford organization that went on to play in Estevan and then on to the NHL. Included in this crop of locals were Skip Krake, Dale Hoganson, Dave Schultz and Gregg Sheppard. I was born in North Battleford and spent a lot of my child hood in the area. My uncles Jim and Jack Milnthorp were involved with the North Battleford teams of the 1970’s and I recall going to games in the local arena to watch the Midget and Jr. teams play. This cardigan is a great memento from the North Battleford Bruins teams of the 1950’s and 60’s.
