CIRCA 1964-66 AHL PROVIDENCE REDS #19 EDDIE KACHUR
GAME WORN JERSEY
This jersey is comprised of a wool body in two tone with white being the primary color with added red sleeves and red and black trim. The jersey is correctly tagged in the back hem. - W.A. Henry Inc. 8 Weybosset St. Providence R.I. There is an additional size 48 tag in the collar. The jersey still measures to a size 48 with 24" chest and 26" torso. The jersey has a 6 eyelet tie down with what appears to be the original lace.
Game wear is present in the form of heavy board burns on the left arm and shoulder, heavy pilling on the lower arms from glove wear and on the inner elbows. There is an un-repaired hole on the left arm, lower back and in the "Reds" crest on the sleeve. There are darned wool repairs on the inner right arm and on the left cuff.
Right wing, Ed Kachur wore # 19 with the AHL Providence Reds from his first season of 1964-65 to his last in 1969-70. This particular style of jersey was worn by the team in both the 1964-65 and 1965-66 seasons.
